Dubai is a genuinely multicultural city that brings together people from all over the world. It is the capital of the Emirate of Dubai, one of the seven emirates in the UAE (UAE). The remaining six are Abu Dhabi, Ajman, and Fujairah. The remaining six are Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain.

Facts about the city:

Emirates of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. UAE is situated on the Southeast portion of the western Asian Arab peninsula (what many westerners like to call the Middle East). The United Arab Emirates shared its borders with southern Saudi Arabia and east Oman. Coordinates: 25°15"47"N 55°17"50"E.

UTC+4 Time Region (UAE Standard Time). The Philippines, Singapore, or Malaysia are 4 hours behind Dubai and Japan is 5 hours behind.

Language: the regional and official language of the UAE is Arabic. However, English is the second most commonly spoken language.

Currency: UAE dirham (AED, Dhs)

Payment methods: both cash and credit cards are widely accepted.

Downtown Dubai. It's presumably the picture you first came across when you first visualise the city if you haven't been to Dubai. The Dubai City Center includes Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, and Dubai Mall, one of the biggest shopping malls worldwide, and the city's most iconic structures. It's even called Fresh Dubai occasionally.

Marina of Dubai. This is one of the ideal spots for living in the area because most expatriates from Europe live here. The beach is surrounded and can easily be accessed. There are also several attractions nearby.

Jumeirah Beach is situated in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Another coastal district connected virtually anywhere in the city. The Marina, the Downtown district, and the Old City are all within walking distance of the Jumeirah. It is home to Europeans, Pakistanis, and Filipinos from all over the world.

Al Barsha is a location between the Marina and the Jumeirah. The best aspect about this neighbourhood is how well connected it is to the rest of the world. There are also a few mid-range hotels in this town.

Bur Dubai is a region of Dubai. Dubai's pounding heart and spirit. When people speak about the Old City, they're generally referring to Bur Dubai. Before all of the developments, this was the city's heart. This is the place to go if you want to take a more cultural and historical approach to your journey. There are various colourful souks (bazaars), traditional buildings, several restaurants, and affordable lodgings.

Deira is a name that comes to mind when you hear of Deira. Historically, it was believed to be an expansion of the Old City. Consider it a more modern version of Bur Dubai, with plenty of low-cost dining, shopping, and lodging options. Deira's best feature is its proximity to the airport.

Tips to getting around the city

Dubai has one of the most sophisticated transportation networks in the country, with an easy-to-use metro system, multiple ride-sharing options, and conventional taxi service. But, before we go into depth about each, it's important to consider the transportation zones.

The city's public transit system is regulated and controlled by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), a local government body. The department has merged all modes of transportation into a system that, while momentarily daunting, becomes more forgiving once you get the hang of it. NOL cards are reloadable cards that allow you to use Dubai's public transportation system, which includes the subway, buses, trams, and the Dubai ferry. Simply put the card above the reader and walk away. It's similar to Hong Kong's Octopus card or Singapore's EZ card, but because of the zonal fares, it's probably closer to Melbourne's myki.

Red, silver, gold, and blue are the four cards available (personalized). Assuming you'll be in

Dubai for a brief amount of time, we'll concentrate on the RED TICKET, which is the most appropriate for visitors.

Things to do when in Dubai

SAFARI IN THE DESERT OF DUBAI

This is without a doubt the most memorable tour I took in Dubai! Usually, a desert safari tour begins in the afternoon and concludes at dusk. It will lead you on a 4x4 journey across the Arabian Desert’s red dunes. You'll even get to see the sunset and hear about Bedouin history. Dinner will be eaten at night as you watch a traditional show that involves Tanoura and belly dancing shows.

IMG ADVENTURE WORLDS

This is the first indoor amusement park in the world! It occupies 1.5 million square feet and features hundreds of attractions focused on Marvel (Thor, Spider-Man), Cartoon Network (power puff Girls, Ben 10), and other properties. For horror lovers, there is even a spooky Haunted Hotel.

City Tour

Joining a community tour is one of the easiest ways to fully enjoy the region. You will not only see the tourist attractions, but you will also hear about them along the way from locals. ATV Tours Dubai’s City Tour will take you to the Burj Al Arab, Burj Khalifa, Jumeirah Mosque, Dubai Museum, and Palm Island, among other historic and contemporary wonders of the city.

Visit Dubai Mall.

Dubai Mall is one of the world's biggest shopping centres. It has a lot of attractions for the entire family to enjoy, including Kidzania and the VR Park, in addition to a great range of shops and restaurants.

It's better to buy a Dubai Mall Attraction Card, which can be used for up to 30 days if you intend on visiting three of the attractions. It also contains a free AED65 SIM card.

Mall of the Emirates

The Mall of the Emirates, with over 600 stores and 100 restaurants, is another well-known mall in Dubai. Apart from shopping, it is known for its enjoyable attractions, such as Ski Dubai, an indoor ski park where tourists can enjoy snow sports such as skiing and hamster balling!
